Complex drug use

The number of people using medicines and combinations of medicines is increasing, but knowledge about the safety of complex drug use is limited. Therefore, side effects and insufficient effectiveness are a potential risk .

Learning medication safety system

In the LEAPfROG project we aim to create a learning medication safety system. Various innovative machine learning techniques are used for this purpose. By combining data from electronic patient records with existing knowledge about medication safety, we expect a more reliable and explainable medication advice for the individual patient. To demonstrate the added value of the LEAPfROG approach, drug-related kidney damage in patients with chronic kidney disease will be investigated.
