Observational research is a very suitable and non-invasive method to study vulnerable populations such as pregnant women and children. For this reason the PHARMO Perinatal Research Network (PPRN) was set up, linking the PHARMO Database Network to the Netherlands Perinatal Registry (Perined). Due to the recent update, PPRN currently covers over 650,000 pregnancies between 1999-2019, allowing us to study the relation between medication exposure during pregnancy and pregnancy outcomes.
